At this year’s festival in July at Trinity College, Bristol we raised money for Comic Relief to support the money raised by Funny Bone, the anthology of funny flash fiction published by Peter Blair and Ashley Chantler at Chester University. We raised £250 which was a great outcome.
Thank you very much to festival helper Danielle Miles, who was in charge of the the raffle and the bookshop, for selling the tickets and to everyone for buying them. Another huge thank you to Charmaine Wilkerson who, for the second year in a row, donated a week’s writing retreat in an apartment not far from Rome, in Italy. Robert Barrett, from Ireland, who won that prize last year, wrote about his week for this site and included some great photos. This year, Pete Domican from the UK, was the lucky winner. We look forward to hearing about his stay. Big thank yous also go to everyone who donated prizes. Meg Pokrass and Jude Higgins offered several sessions of mentoring.
